This tape dispenser is really cool looking. I showed it off to everyone at work when it came in. It is a shiny copper color. The piece that holds the actual roll of tape is clear plastic. The clear plastic piece is small enough for the tape roll to fit on easily but not so small that it slides all over the place. It can be slid back and forth though. The serrated edge that cuts the tape works really well. The only issue I have with it is that sometimes it's just a little bit difficult to grab the piece of tape because the bar on the side gets in the way. The only time this happens is when the roll of tape is slid farther to one side than the other. My only real complaint with this tape dispenser is that the plastic piece that the roll goes on fits into the wire part of the dispenser so snugly that it was difficult to get out when replacing the roll of tape and even more difficult to put back in with the new roll. The wire seems to be slightly bend, refusing to allow the plastic piece to be put back in properly. This is why my tape roll is closer to one side than the other. You can see this in my second picture. Overall, this is a really neat looking tape dispenser and I definitely enjoy having it on my desk. A couple minor adjustments could make this thing a perfect choice.

I work as a phlebotomist and needed something to replace the cheap, plastic paper tape holders that our company had supplied us in the past and now had stopped, as they were breaking at the tear point from repeated applied pressure. This holder is metal and sturdy, and sharp enough to tear the paper tape but not so sharp to tear your skin! It is also light weight, which is what we need as the holder needed to be mobile. This tape dispenser is so cute and I bought it to go with the other gold accents I have on my desk. I like how the tape is held in, that seemed great, however a standard tape roll is much less wide than the space so it goes back and forth on the piece that holds it which would result in uneven cuts IF the teeth even cut the tape. The teeth on this dispenser are absolutely worthless. The tape just dragged across them, it never cut the tape. I needed this to be functional so I will be returning it as it’s useless to me. I guess if you have a need for a decorative tape dispenser, this one fits the bill.
