I ordered the red, and the color was off a bit from what is shown on the web site (and my monitor is color calibrated for graphics arts work). They are actually a bit darker, more of a wine color. And while I would have liked to have had the bright red, the color I got is quite nice, I like it.
More importantly, they are indeed "ultra soft". Similar to the 'sheep skin' covering on many dog beds - but for humans! They are this way on both sides, unlike some other cheap "soft" pillow cases I've ordered. The zipper is recessed and hidden under the seam so you don't need to worry about that scratching your face.
I've already ordered some more!
