Perfect Sipping Straw for Most Larger Cups

As stated in the description, this is the perfect length straw for larger cups like the Yeti, Ozark Trail and other 30 oz drinking containers. The approximately 45 degree tip bend angle minimizes spills, as you don't need to tilt your cup to use the straw. About 10 inches long overall, there is plenty of height above the cup lid opening (about an inch for my Ozark Trail cup) for turning the straw in whatever direction you are drinking from. No stainless steel taste, although a plastic coated tip would be nice to prevent the metal straw from hitting your tooth if you weren't paying attention. The metal straw can be a bit noisy in a metal cup though. The cleaning brush provided works very well and using these food grade 18/8 stainless steel straws reduces on landfill trash as these will last a lifetime. Diameter is approximately 5 mm (0.2 inches) which is smaller than a standard plastic straw. This makes drinking a thick or "Icee-style" drink somewhat challenging, but minimizes burning your mouth if drinking a hot beverage. You get four angled dishwasher safe stainless steel straws and one cleaning brush on a plain blister pack card. Shipped quickly - I had mine in 3 days!

These are just what I was looking for. I wanted to switch to drinking my coffee from a straw in an effort to reduce staining on my teeth. I will say that my morning coffee is more of a latte, very heavy on almond milk, and not very hot. These may not be ideal for a very hot beverage. I prefer not to use a straw when sipping hot tea. These straws do conduct some heat, but I also think it is more enjoyable to drink a very hot beverage with slower sips.

I will also add that my nine year old daughter likes the straws for her water, and we find she will finish up a glass of water much quicker this way. These also work well for smoothies. The straws get a little chilled but not so much that it is uncomfortable.

Overall these were a great find...affordable, reusable, and easy to clean with the brush that was included. My whole family is using them in one way or another!

The straws are metal, solid and clean, but it is too early to determine if they are made of stainless steel. The sides and edges are smooth so there is no chance of getting cut or of getting abrasions from using them. The manufacturer provides a brush to clean them and it works rather well. These are good straws and work in a smaller glass but not in a 30 oz. tumbler. If they were 2 inches longer from the tip to the bend then they would sit correctly in a large tumbler, but as it is, they fall into the cup which is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5. I would recommend that the manufacturer should give a size, length or recommended size glass for the straws so the consumer can make an informed decision, or better yet provide different sizes for different size containers.

I absolutely LOVE these straws. I bought them with the intention of using them even if I absolutely hated them because they're better for the environment and I'm a hippie like that, but I truly love them. I think they are perfect, really easy to clean, and the metal against my teeth doesn't bother me.

My fiance, however, had always been a straw chewer (I guess that's a thing?) and so at first he was a little upset that my hippie save the environment stuff was ruining his lifelong chewing habit.

THEN he realized that the straw gets nice and cold as you drink, and he got on board. He LOVES the fact that it gives you the feeling of an ice cold drink with every sip, and hasn't been upset about the new straws since.

I also love the frosty metal bit, it reminds me of the old fashioned diners you could go to and get your shake served in a glass cup, with a metal straw, and a second metal cup filled with the rest of your shake. It's a little blast from the past with every sip with these straws.
