I know some people haven't found this to be the most practical dish rack, but i would disagree. I use a dish washer for most of my washing up and use this for all my bits and pieces that don't go in the dish washer. I find it more practical (and definitely more stylish) than my old metal style rack. It holds my Joseph Joseph cutting boards and plates. Can be a little tricky if you have lots of bowls and cups. I particularly love the self draining feature. Means my things actually dry.

I bought this because I have a very small kitchen and I wanted a dish rack that didn't take up a lot of space and that I could easily stash under the sink when I wasn't using it. This definitely fits that that category. It holds the dishes well and does a nice job. The color is not quite as vibrant green as a few of the pictures suggest, the green is a bit more avocado, but it looks very nice. Many comments mention that it doesn't drain well, and they are right, most of the water sits in the rack and just evaporates out. The back end needs to be tilted up more for it to drain properly. I wouldn't recommend this for people that use a lot of dishes. It is meant to be small, therefore it is small and doesn't hold a lot. It does look sharp sitting on the counter so it gets points for not being boring. This works great for someone that doesn't use a lot of dishes and washes them frequently and wants something different from the norm.

I had a Michael Graves folding dish rack/drainer that is, for me, a perfect design: elevated racks, a self-contained draining tray and collapsible when I didn't need it. One of the support bars is cracking, so I decided to get something new. Aesthetically this one is fantastic--bold design in striking colors with a utensil holder and flexible slots for dishes. But it just didn't work for me. I often wash pots and pans and a quick test proved this design would not hold them in place. Also many of my utensils tipped over in the utensil slot--it's not quite tall enough. Finally, for me, the drain spout is useless where it is; it should be on the side(s) not the front since the rack would sit to the side of my sink not in front of it. I think that's probably true for most people. I really wanted to like this but I've returned it and ordered something else. I wish the Michael Graves LaLa folding dishrack were still in production. I'd buy it again and again.

Not just seen but used, it's wonderful and I've got such plans for it. I LOVE JOSEPH I LOVE JOSEPH! A name so nice you've got to hear it twice!

And what a Co-inkadink, I was just talking about you Joseph Joseph with your beautiful Flip Double-Sided Draining Board, Grey, on that page, so here I'll continue. Dishrack? Who you calling Dishrack my friend, this thing is so innovating it's like the other one I wrote about minutes ago just more progressive. They both can be used as doubly versatile for so many things, and little things, and big things, wet things, dry things and so many things when you're taking care of stuff and organizing your life by cleaning and fixing projects in or around the home or office.

Yes it can be what you see in the pictures, but don't forget to take your pictures with their frames and clean them all, OMG what will you have to help you?? THIS THAT'S WHAT. Pictures can be pulled out and separated briefly into the slots of choice within the Arena, and then the frames and glasses can be cleaned and ready to place picture back inside. It's fun, and that's just one example.

I could go on for at least 5 pages about this beauty, not to mention picking up stuff around the house in it, wet or dry or dirty or clean. If you a dog or cat, I bet they'll love it also, I don't know for what but it's that much fun! It makes cleaning fun and as special as it really is meant to be, while fixing up your life.

It can hold utensils ya, but it can hold tools as well, tools you're going around the house with to fix things, with nails and bolts put into this thing to collect for organizing later. And on my breaks for now, my new toy is taking two of my many marbles that I've collected over the years, and let them play in this Arena, without letting them bump into each other, its silly fun and I'm worth it.

I think people who say this thing is useless, are useless people, because you don't have to just do what it's called, dish racking everything you can to complain how it's not good. Boring yawn.. Having a normal dish rack and this is a wonderful thing, and I wish others could understand the many things about living life to the fullest to really live with this product and ENJOY IT TO THE FULLEST like I will. Thank you Joseph Joseph.

Attractive drying rack that works well for a modern, fun aesthetic...the fun stops there, though. Virtually nothing fits in this thing, and the balancing act of trying to fit even a couple dishes in this rack has caused many of our bowls and glasses to plunge into the sink and shatter. The green dividers are too flexible to hold larger objects firmly, and the slant makes it nearly impossible to hold even small dishes on the sides. The "self-draining" mouth is a good idea, but this function does nothing when there is no incline to encourage water to flow out of the rack and into the sink, so water sits in the bottom and molds. It is difficult to get in between the dividers to clean mold, so cleaning the rack takes more time than cleaning a sink of dishes. The flat part is hypothetically for drying glasses, but every drinking glass comes out smelling like mildew. The openings in the cutlery section does not serve the purpose of letting water drain, but instead makes it difficult to keep flatware upright.
Stick to the classic ugly-but-practical wire drying racks that will hold plenty of your dishes firmly and give them enough space to dry without stewing in moldy waters. Yuck.

The self draining dish rack is compact, yet holds quite at lot of dishes, cutlery etc. It looks fantastic and excess water just drains into the sink. If there is a little residue then it can be easily tilted when the dishes are put away. Also great price from Amazon.

Bought this as needed a new one & this design looked good & the colour is just one of our favourites! I must say that the water doesn't drain away as much as it says it does, so that's a bit naughty.....cleaning it is quite easy, i use an old toothbrush & Cif spray & it's as good as new. You have to find your own way of stacking your washing up on it though as it is compact! It sits well on the draining board & still leaves room for extra mugs etc down the side....it will do until we put in our new kitchen & re-jig it is get our dishwasher fitted in which is currently having a rest in the garage lol
Plastic is far better that anything chrome as chrome (in kitchens & bathrooms) ALWAYS rusts, eventually.
