That seems to me a very dumb way to get out from a spot when you're ...
[UPDATE] Shortly after I wrote my original review, Eufy customer support contacted me and offer some tips on how to troubleshoot the vac issues I was experiencing. After following their advice (cleaning the drop sensors, according to error code) the vac would still get give up in unespected scenarios. I sent them pictures and described the vac behavior. The courteously offered to replace the vac with a new unit, updated for high pile carpet, according to their statement. Honestly, I checked the model and it was exactly the same than the one I had. The only different thing I noticed was the rubber lip behind the roll sticks a bit further in the roll assembly. That said, they did send a new unit to replace the misbehaving one and after using it for several days now, it's been doing a fantastic job. I would like to give Eufy customer support a shout-out for their prompt and very helpful intervention. [END UPDATE] I decided to write this review after 4+ months of use of the RoboVac. On the plus side, the vacuum has been faithfully cleaning my (mostly) carpet floors impeccably for all those maths I've had it. The battery life has been consistent throughout the whole period, living up to the description. Aside from cleaning the dust compartment every so often and dusting/washing the filters whenever I feel is needed, the vac hasn't needed any maintenance. I do sometimes pick it up and remove any carpet threads that get tangled in the roll, but that's to be expected. I have cables laying in my apartment floor, for my home theater, and so far those haven't been an impediment for the vac to work as expected. It has never got stuck because of the cable. What leads me to rate it 3 stars and what I see as the only down side, is that the thing DOES GET STUCK A LOT, mostly without a valid reason. I have it programmed to clean at 10:00am, when I'm away from home. At least 8 out of ten days when I come back, I can count on the vac NOT BEING in the dock. It will be stranded somewhere in my apartment, after just half a cycle, or in low battery mode while searching for the base. To be fair, my layout is not the easiest to navigate, though it is fairly small (I live in a studio). The problem is that sometimes the vac will just give up in the most dumber of situations. To provide some examples, I've seen it give up literally 10 inches in direct line (front facing) from the dock. I have attached a picture of this scenario. I have also seen it give up, in the middle of a cycle, while cleaning along a wall (still charged, not looking for the dock yet) as shown in the other picture. I've seen it get stuck in an open area, with only one wall. It will try to go through the wall (I guess), and after realizing it can, it will do a 360-degree turn and try to ram the wall again. That seems to me a very dumb way to get out from a spot when you're stuck. I must say that last scenario, which I have witnessed several times (no exaggeration here) happens mainly, though not exclusively, when searching for the dock. Notice that when I say "I've seen it", I mean exactly that, because I work from home sometimes and I get to witness those scenarios. I'm getting a bit tired of having to manually (with the remote) guide the thingy to the base, because no matter how many chances I give it (by pressing the home button) it will fail to find the dock. This happens a lot. Summarizing, I like how well the vac cleans, but the navigational aspect of it is really bad.

TLDR: I bought this instead of a hard-wood vacuum, which was what I was actually shopping for, and am super happy about it. If you live in a small-mid size apartment/house, with open areas and wood floors, this is a perfect vac, and I highly recommend. If you have a lot of rooms/floor space/area rugs/carpet, he is still a great budget option, but often becomes lost in rooms or stuck on carpets! If you don't mind babysitting him a little bit, he'll be a dream come true!

Let me set the scene for you-- I live in a 3-story townhome, with one messy human and two messy cats. This means the floors have become more of a chore than I'd like to deal with; and if you're considering a robo-vac, you're probably in a similar situation. I'm not trying to sweep my floor every day, and I'm also not trying to walk around on crumbs, litter, hair, and dirt all the time.

I began to research robo-vacs, starting with, of course, the Roomba. It was way out of my price range, however, and the only differences I can see between them and other vacs is battery life and programmability. I wasn't very interested in programming schedule cleanings, though (I don't want him to spook my cats!), and I don't have a very large apartment (the first two stories of the townhome are open rooms, the top floor is split into 2 bedrooms), so I wasn't super worried about a 3 hour charge, either.

This little guy has done an excellent job keeping the floors tidy! He picks up TONS of cat hair, dirt, and litter (honestly more than I thought was on my floor!), is super easy to clean (comes with great cleaning tools), and keeps on going for much longer than I expected as well (he's cleaning the basement now, and he's been going for about an hour, and doesn't seem tired yet at all!). He even cleans our area rug/entry mat for us, and does a dang good job. Sometimes it takes him a few go overs, but if you don't mind setting him up a room and leaving him to do his job for about an hour, he'll get it all no sweat!

Noise: As some others have said, he's about as loud as a dishwasher. Definitely not silent, but also not loud enough to bother me or startle my cats!
Battery Life: Longest run so far was 1/5hrs, and he still have some juice. Could probably go longer, but usually the job is done in an hour!
Cleaning Ability: Does a GREAT job on hard wood/tile. Even gets right up against the wall! Also dos a fair job on low pile carpets and mats. I have a very small/thin rug in my kitchen by the stove, and he cleans it without rolling it up, which rules!
Size: He's small enough to fit under the ledge from the cabinets in the kitchen which is GREAT, because that's where all the food collects, you know? He is not small enough to fit under our couch, but that could easily be fixed if we decided to buy some small stilts for it. We tucked his charger away by the stairs, and he's out of sight!
Charging: He doesn't do a great job of finding his base... we tucked the charge in the corner of the room because who would want it in the center of anything, anyway? That probably has something to do with it, and I imagine if we had bedrooms/more walls separating areas in our home, he would be even more lost. I don't mind picking him up and taking him home when he's done, but because of this I don't think I would ever use the scheduling feature. I might lose him somewhere in the house!
Carpets: My only gripe about this vacuum (but not enough to knock off a star!), is that he often gets stuck on our area rug. Specifically what I believe is happening is his spinning brushes are getting "stuck" on the edge of the carpet, because it's like a little hard ledge. Literally all you have to do is tell him to keep going and he will dislodge himself, though. His "stuck" sensor is just too sensitive-- but it's probably for the best. This is another reason that I wouldn't run him while I wasn't home, however-- he'd probably get stuck on the rug in the first 15 minutes and that would be that!

All in all, I would highly recommend this little guy for budget/first time robo-vac owners. I'm super grateful for all of his help! He does a fantastic job.

We bought this to replace our Samsung Powervac r9250 which we loved but it unfortunately ceased working shortly after the 12 month warranty expired and we were unable to get repaired even through Samsung. We didn’t want to lose the convenience of a Robot Vacuum, but at the same time we were not prepared to pay circa $1000 for a replacement vacuum. While the Eufy Robovac 11 doesn’t tick all the boxes of the more expensive vacuums (optical eye, cyclone technology, laser plotted cleaning patterns etc..) the reviews on Amazon and other places confirmed this product was more than capable and we thought for the price point it was worth gambling on to be a suitable replacement.

Putting the Vacuum together out of the box is simply and takes less than a minute. After the initial charge you simply press the start button on either the remote control or the vacuum itself and off it goes. Not having an optical eye, it does not have a coordinated pattern to how it cleans, but instead appears to randomly pick a direction and when it gets to an obstacle it will sense the obstacle and turn and head in another direction. It will continue to do this until it either runs out of battery power or completes its cycle and returns to the charging base. There must be some sort of “smarts” internally to how it maps out the cleaning, as while it appears random, it does clean the whole room every time and knows when it has done so. Not being as coordinated as those higher end machines, it does dramatically increase the cleaning cycle. We have a large open plan Kitchen, dining and living room. With the Samsung it took about 30 mins to clean, with the Eufy it takes over an hour.

Our floors are dark hardwood so we are not cleaning carpet with the Eufy, but the combination of the vacuum suction, the roller and the brushes does a fantastic job at picking up dirt, dust, food scraps and dog hair. I would say that despite the much more powerful cyclone power of the Samsung, the Eufy does a better job large in part due to the brushes which are able to much more effectively get dirt out of corners and the end of the base boards. The only challenge this presents is that the dust bin fills up quickly, especially for us as we have two Labradors that shed endlessly and a toddler who loves to make a mess. But we do find that the dust bin will generally last a full clean cycle unless the floor is especially dirty.
Its small form factor is also a benefit. The Eufy is able to clean under sofas which our Samsun was not able to do due to its height. We also have two dog crates and when the doors are open the Eufy is still able to drive underneath the door. With the Samsung it would unfortunately often get jammed with the dog crates as the optical eye was just low enough to get under it but then rest of the vacuum would not, resulting in the eye cover getting scratched. The only thing that has really tripped up the Eufy was a memory foam kitchen mat that we had which was just high enough that sometimes the Eufy would get stuck as one if its wheels would lift in the air and get stuck. This is solved simply by picking up the mat.
It is relatively quiet, especially compared to our Samsung which was a powerful cyclone vacuum. It definitely isn’t whisper quiet and you will hear it, but you can get on with daily life including phone calls and conversations while the Eufy is running. At night time we run it, but we do close our upstairs door to cut out the noise as in a quiet house late a night it can be heard easily. With the door closed it isn’t disturbing.

Obstacle wise, the Eufy more than adequately identifies table legs, sofa legs, walls, doors etc… and is able to change its course before hitting them. Items like door stops (those spring metal door stops mounted to the wall) it will not detect and the occasional dark object like the black metal of the dog crates it will sometimes bump into (it doesn’t happen all the time, so must have something to do with the lighting levels as well).
Customer service with Eufy is also fantastic. Out Eufy started to bump into objects and gradually got worse over time to the point that it would end up just “bouncing” around the room to do its cleaning cycle. This started to happen about 6 weeks after initial purchase. I contacted Eufy support via email and they quickly sent me a set of debugging steps to try. Upon completing the debugging steps it hadn’t resolved the issue so sent me a prepaid label to send the faulty Eufy back and they immediately sent me a new unit. The customer service was all done via email, they were very speedy to reply and operated in a friendly and professional manner.

All in all, this is a fantastic product for the price. Add in the positive experience with the customer service and we are extremely happy with the product and company.

What sets apart a high quality product from the rest, is its serivce.
And I must say, I'm really happy with the quality and response of the service, the team had to offer. The sellers initiated the pick up of the malfunctioning Eufy and replaced it, and had it delivered.

Picks up German Shepherd dog hair very well from hardwood and an area rug. Is not noisy. Does not leave black marks when it touches walls and furniture. Manoeuvres around furnitures expressly well. And it returns to its base quite successfully, although you need to leave three feet around it to allow it to come home easily. Also is very easy to empty and clean the filters. Well designed. Has been an excellent purchase.
