- Reviewed in the United States on September 23, 2014I am not sure why someone would say it would leave huge holes in the wall. Any kind of framed corkboard requires stabilization because it is meant to be used and touched. So, it has to be secure even though it is light. I know this from prior bulletin boards. So, instead of using mollies I used that super strong adhesive tape meant for outdoor use. Okay, my situation was for the back of a child/teen desk hutch. Okay, there is the desk and hutch and another set of two-drawers with a hutch on top. Problem was the manufacturer had made it with open slots on the back wood, I guess, for a TV or something, not sure. She lived with it for years and hated it. We moved and are tweaking the bedrooms and I found this to not only use, but cover up the ugly slots and add some decoration to the room. So, I did not mount it on a wall. Actually, mollies wouldn't even work. I know the issue of covering up holes from mollies since we just moved (and it isn't as big a deal as people think). Okay, there are two types of tape adhesives you can realistically use for this. The lighter weight version may be more possible to remove without a huge problem, but it is not as strong. I've used it in the past and you have to use a lot more, etc. I bought the heavy-duty version because I don't care what happens to the back. If I were to use it on a wall, I would totally expect that removal would remove the paint and know that ahead a time. My husband wanted to drill through the frame into the wood. That would be unsightly and I didn't allow him to do it. Most people are going to hang this on a wall. If you don't want to get into mollies (nails will not stand up to constant pushing and pulling on the push pins), I would recommend the strong adhesive tapes. Again, the lighter gauge one is not going to be as strong, and easier to remove. Also, in Florida, if you leave on vacation and turn down your air, I am not sure whether the lightweight tape will securely hold unless you use a lot of it. I went with the heavy duty one and didn't worry about the hutch back as we hate the slots anyways. If you used it on a wall, know ahead of time it will most probably remove paint. I think most people buying this corkboard are not just going for functionality as there are a ton of corkboard and utilitarian options out there for bulletin boards. This is definitely to add a decorative spice to a room and it does it wonderfully. Do not buy any kind of bulletin board for actual use if you are worried about using mollies or tape. You cannot hang bulletin boards on nails. If it is heavy one, like I have in my kitchen from Frontgate, someone can get hurt. I secured that one with mollies. A painter told us how to fill the holes when we left (well my husband did it). I believe you use Plaster of Paris, the wall patch type. If it is a really big hole, you can take a tiny amount of crumpled paper or plaster then use the Plaster of Paris. It works like a charm. You cannot use spackling. This is all fresh in my mind because she just fixed a ton of holes; such as, an affixed Elfa wall unit, Pottery Barn shelves, et cetera, all done with mollies. My personal opinion is go for the mollies and enjoy your home. When you move, use the Plaster of Paris and crumpled paper/plastic routine if it is a really big hole. Oh, to get the mollies out, you can't, you have to take a very small head type of instrument, maybe a tiny hammer or something. I don't know what he used and push it into the wall and let it fall down. If you can get the molly out without doing that, great, then you have a smaller hole. Don't fret about the holes. It was so much easier than I thought with the process I explained. It really made me less afraid of mollies and holes in walls. Repair men and painters do it; you can too!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 8, 2016This cork board is so cute in person. I think it is perfect for home, office or even dorm room! I recently hung it in my office and have received many compliments already. The actual cork is sturdy and durable. The push pins will not go all the way through and you are able to reuse the same spaces multiple times. The frame is white painted wood and is sturdy. It does not look cheap at all. I wish this came in a larger size, but since it doesn't, I may purchase another and hang them next to each other - that is how much I love it. Other reviewers have given accurate description regarding the inclusion of the push pins - only 2 are included, not 4 as the photo shows. Even with that small discrepancy, I would purchase over again!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 11, 2018This looks so nice on my wall! I love the design so that when I don't have a lot posted on it, it becomes "wall art"! I don't care for the over-sized push pins that come with it. They are loose and wobbly and feel like they are going to fall off the board. I have them stuck in the corners for decoration. Instead I purchased Clipco Push Pins Jar (200-Count) (White) and they look very nice with it.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 19, 2022I hung on the wall right above my computer, easy access and can get quite a bit of information on it. The floral look makes it look not so plain. Glad I purchased.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 10, 2020I bought this board for my bedroom. It’s so cute! It’s very sturdy and a good thickness! I haven’t put it up yet because I just got it but it looks very simple and I’m not worried!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 5, 2016Very nice, the print on the cork is nice and clear and gives a nice touch of whimsy. I am using this as a necklace holder for my costume jewelry and it's working really good and looks pretty on the wall. I didn't use the pins included so it was fine that the one was actually broke and couldn't be used even if I had wanted to. I purchased bright colorful larger pins and they look great against the tan and white of the board.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 14, 2020Alright, so I was going to give it two stars but, it was only $13 so I gave it a third. It’s a beautiful cork board, but it is not an easy tack and go cork board whatsoever. The pins they gave me are cute, but one fell apart as soon as I took the plastic wrapping off the cork board. I intended this to be a display board for my four year old who enthusiastically photographs all her favorite things with her instax Polaroid. It took A LOT of effort to get those pins to go through the cork board. Much like other reviewers have said, it is difficult, and.. a few of the pins went ALL THE WAY THROUGH the board creating a hole in the back of the board. They’re standard pins, nothing fancy or long at all so I was not happy about that. You can get a good, easy to use cork board just about anywhere, adding a design like this is easy to do with a $3 can of spray paint and a stencil. I do not predict that this cork board will last for many years. I do not suggest buying this unless you are going to use it AS IS for wall art. In the future, I will have to take the board off the wall to add more of my daughters art work/photographs because the pins are so difficult to push in.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 7, 2021Very pretty board for my teen daughters room. Good size, fits a lot, was simple to install and a good value. Would recommend.
