I had been using a Withings connected scale for a decade, but I was looking for better accuracy and a wider variety of data. I was astonished at how much progress this technology has made in the past 10 years. This Eufy BodySense scale is almost perfectly consistent and measures a lot more parameters than any other digital scale I've used.
I'm especially impressed with its measurement of body fat, visceral fat and muscle percentages. My old-fashioned scale required me to get my feet wet to get a reading that was anywhere near accurate, but not this one. More importantly, its accuracy is impressive. For instance, I've been able to steadily track my progress of reducing visceral fat over the past six weeks, and it gives me consistent readings down to the 10th of a point without all that noise of wildly varying readings.
Besides its technical prowess, this is a sleek-looking device that's worth the space it requires on my bathroom floor (see my photo). But it's surprisingly compact. Another significant improvement is its quick ability to give me a weight reading, and it's not too fussy about where I stand on the scale or whether I'm leaning forward or back.
A glaring omission on the part of the scale's manufacturer is the lack of an online component to read its data. It only connects via Bluetooth, and its resulting data is only available on a smartphone -- in my case, an iPhone. However, on the plus side, it does send all of its data to Apple Healthkit, so I can add it to my previous data for a long-term picture of my fitness. Despite that Bluetooth limitation, this is an excellent tool for my fitness program, and I highly recommend it.
