Prepare for this creamy, legendary, OAT of this world concoction. This flavor is our tribute to guitarist Jerry Garcia fans everywhere, and it all started with a piece of fan mail. You see, back in the day, before smartphones and social media, our fans spoke to us via handwritten notes pinned to the bulletin boards at our Scoop Shops. Sometime in 1986, one such fan mailed a postcard to our main office in Burlington, Vermont. Ben & Jerry's meets great guitar solos? We loved the idea, and Ben immediately began creating the iconic concoction. Cherry Garcia debuted in 1987 and quickly became one of our top three most popular flavors. But just as every good musician has to evolve, Ben & Jerry's does, too. So in answer to queries from all of those air-guitar heroes who can’t or choose not to eat dairy, we decided it was time to create this fan favorite into a vegan dessert. It’s made with smooth and creamy OAT milk, which is the perfect blank canvas for the cherries and fudge flakes we pack into this pint. Same euphoria, minus the dairy—and here’s hoping it inspires at least a few soulful guitar riffs. Like all of our flavors, Cherry Garcia non-dairy is a gmo free and uses Fairtrade certified cocoa and vanilla. If that’s not enough, we went one step further to gain 100% vegan and gluten free diet certification. All the flavor is wrapped in responsibly sourced packaging, so you can feel good about what’s in your freezer.

A couple years ago, I developed an allergy to dairy so I had to change my entire diet. Then I discovered that Ben & Jerry's had a non-dairy Cherry Garcia ice cream, and I was so happy. I really can't tell the difference in texture from other brands that have a dairy content. Ben & Jerry should make a candy bar out of the little chocolate pieces in this particular ice cream, because they're so good. Also, Good value for my money. I have health issues, and wasn't feeling well when my sister, Karen came over my house. I had mentioned to her several times that I wanted some ice cream. Karen brought over some non-dairy Cherry Garcia ice cream. She didn't say anything about it until I mentioned buying some. We were playing the card game rummy and then, she gave it to me. As a surprise, she had planned on leaving it my freezer, but I was so glad to have it that night. When you don't feel well, laughter and ice cream go hand in hand. It's the little things in life that make us laugh, and I don't take that for granted.

    Ben and Jerry's Non Dairy Cherry Garcia. I became lactose intolerant about 5 years ago so I hadn't had Dairy Ice Cream for that long. I normally stick to Italian Ices or Talenti Sorbet. Back in the day Cherry Garcia was always my go to favorite so you know I had to give it a try. I thought it might taste funny but to my amazeballs it tastes just like regular Cherry Garcia. They use Almond Milk in place of the dairy cream. The only difference that I can decipher is that after it melts in your mouth there is a slight oily feel fm the almond milk that's different from butterfat from dairy. However that is very slight and actually has no effect on the flavor. Will definitely buy again.
