They are strong. No breakages yet but.....
Hefty Strong Large Trash Bags, 30 Gallon, 74 Count are strong. One hasn't broken through yet, no matter how much I stuff in there. But be careful as the bags still can tear if you accidentally hit them against a sharp metal object. When you have a bag with liquids it's probably a good idea to put that bag into a second lightweight plastic garbage bag before putting that into the Hefty bag, just to be on the safe side. Learned that from experience. The 74 count box is great for large families (we have 8 people in our household) So, the box lasts us for about a month. All in all, this is a great purchase if you want a reliable garbage bag.
