Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyzed reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I bought this as a present for my husband. When we travel, it takes him way too long to be able to access all the devices' plugs to unplug everything he needs to pack for the trip. Then when we're home again, he has to try to re-set everything. I noticed yesterday that he's no longer using it, because of that difficulty.
Tough product to review. The Good: 1. Looks great 2. Love the way it can hang on a wall 3. I like the small amount of light the LED provides 4. Good cable management system
The Bad 1. The touch mechanism is very finicky 2. IT DIED IN LESS THAN ONE WEEK!
I will be returning it to the manufacturer, rather than Amazon (as Amazon appears to be banning accounts for returning products).
The design of this is very nice, however very big in size (small salad bowl) and far too big to sit on a kitchen countertop or end table. The concept is great, very pretty but made of plastic (I think that's the material) and not as high in quality as what the images show. It also only comes with the main charging cord, you will still need your cords to plug in to charge your devices.
While this does organize your cable, the touch sensor works about 40% of the time. It glitches out a lot and requires multiple attempts for it to react. For $100, you can find a lot better and a lot cheaper.
My hopes were very high for this charging hub, but unfortunately it just doesn't meet it's potential. The touch sensor is very finicky, often misreading your inputs or not recognizing them altogether. Whats more, the internal "channels" that you feed your cables into are awkward to use, and simply too small for many aftermarket cables to fit in at all. The build materials aren't ideal either- this thing needed to be made out of aluminum so it would be heavy enough to not move around when unwrapping cables from it. Lastly, the hub is incapable of delivering enough power to adequately charge any type of device you plug in it- for instance, my MacBook can only charge when it's closed, and even then only slowly.
It still looks very nice, and the fabric top is a very nice touch, but I would definitely not recommend this product, even at the reduced price of $50 (I bought it when it cost even more). At it's current quality level, this is a $20 product at most- and even then, there are enough issues with it to warrant simply choosing another hub.
