I love this stupid thing haha
I just bought this on a whim cause I thought the face was cute, but now I'm kinda obsessed with it. It's great for ambient lighting: there's a setting for plain white light and one for cycling through colors. Squeeze it or tap the base to make it stay on the color of your choice or just let it cycle. Battery is very long-lasting and the brightness/vividness of the light is impressive. PLUS if your power goes out, and you're like me and never replace your flashlight batteries, you can just take the base out of the silicon body and use it as a lamp (it's VERY bright when you remove it from the cat body)

The lamp also offers enough light to see by without being bright enough to wake a sleeping baby. I have bought subsequent cat lights for other friends expecting babies.     This was a birthday gift for my daughter and it's just as cute as it looks in the picture. It holds a charge for a long time, and the fact that you can set it to remain on one color or let the colors keep rotating is really neat. (You do have to tap it pretty hard to get it to change between settings sometimes!) It's just the right amount of light for a nightlight, and she has liked having it on road trips. She doesn't like that her brother can squeeze it, causing it to become misshapen (and dislocate the base slightly), but it goes right back to its original shape and everything is fine! I recommend this little light, I don't think you'll be disappointed!

    This little cat light is adorable. It is rechargeable. You can turn it on with normal white light and leave it on for light all night. Or if you gently tap the cat he will rotate from white, to a rainbow cycle then off. The rainbow cycle rotates for a couple minutes and then goes off. Unfortunately, you can not stop the light on any on particular color. I keep this beside my bed at night and if I have to get up and need some extra light I just tap it on the head. The material is rubbery and flexible so it is durable and can withstand being dropped.

    This would be a five star review but for one thing: the lights don't really 'breathe' in that the cycling is not a gradual fade in/out of colors - it's just a rapid switch between them. I bought it as a night light for a 6 month old who likes it just fine, but it isn't as soothing as the fading style would be. If some of the other ones being sold offered that feature I would have chosen one of the others, but I suspect they all come from the same manufacturer, so I think this is just what you get regardless. The soft white nightlight function is perfectly fine and it is a good amount of soothing light - not too much, not too dim.

    The silicone is quite soft; it doesn't hold up against touch easily. This shouldn't be a problem if it's a stationary nightlight, of course, but a consideration if this might be something you'd be using for a child who wants something to carry along to the bathroom. It should be sturdy enough, but I'm not sure how well it would survive being dropped, etc.

    What's nice about this is that, obviously, it's seriously adorable. It's also bigger than I expected; I didn't read the product description regarding height because I didn't really care one way or another; just wanted a nightlight like this. It's actually about six inches tall and pretty wide, so it puts off plenty of nice, soft light.

    We bought this as a nightlight for our son. He loves it, but I have some issues. The charging port is on the bottom so It can't be upright when charging, meaning we have to charge it during the day rather than plugging it in when we need it at night. Defeats the purpose of a rechargeable battery somewhat. That said, the charge is enough to get us through 2 nights pretty well. Also, it has a solid light and a rotating light state, but the only color you can use is white when its solid. We had a different light before that was too bright, but it allowed us to stop the rotation on any color, and my son could pick the color for his room each night. Now, he always wants it rotating so he can see the colors, but its very distracting for getting him to sleep. The charger it came with did not have a wall plug, just the mini to USB. We have several so that wasn't a huge deal, but its not usable as is... The cord is also really cheap and doesn't charge well. It doesn't want to stay in the base of the cat light, so i swapped it for my phone charger and it is THE SLOWEST charger I have ever used. We are keeping it only because of the cuteness factor - my son is in love with it. I just wish it was more practical.

    These are so cute, and so BRIGHT! My two younger children both need a lot of light for them to stay in bed at night, and this guy is the next best thing to a lamp. I gave them as Christmas presents, and they absolutely loved them. I love that I can charge them up, rather than run through batteries or leave them plugged in at night. The body is squishy enough that my kids can hold them and even cuddle them without getting hurt, and without breaking them. The cable plug can be a bit of a pain to get into the battery at times, but it's well worth it. I plan to purchase a couple more, to use as lights in the hallways and bathroom at night.
