Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 19, 2016I have a cat that eats my micro usb cables so needed a different, braided style cable...After trying and re-searching all sorts of different so-called charging and data cables. This is the best one I've ever seen, A Nylon Braided Tangle-Free Micro USB Cable with Gold-Plated Connectors from Anker. I tried this cable with the original device charger & so called 'smart' chargers, charging my cell phone & camera as well as used in data transfer (w/external HDD) in both case this cable is works like champ.
A few years ago, using micro-USB cables for data/charging was not an issue. Now that power hungry devices are more prevalent (tablets, smart phones, rechargeable speakers, etc.), having the 'right' cable becomes important. I've sometimes found that certain cables will not recharge a device overnight. It looks like the device didn't charge at all, just stayed at the same battery level. So, it is necessary to have good quality of cable avoid this sorts of issues. I have collection of different type of Micro USB cables and out of those, the Anker® 3ft / 0.9m Nylon Braided Tangle-Free Micro USB Cable with Gold-Plated Connectors is stands out. You can feel the quality in both charging and transferring data to/from devices. You can feel by its resistance to bending that it is a much heavier gage than any other wire of similar type you are used to.
There is nothing to be disappointed about with this cord. It is long enough and very fair for its price.
Over all it’s a nice product to replace all other junky cables. Would recommend to have one.

- Reviewed in the United States on September 10, 2015There is absolutely NO better Micro-USB cable on the market. I have purchased three (2 red, 1 white) of these already, and will continue to purchase more! I have had my mother, brother, and a couple of friends purchase this same cable. They all agree - it is GREAT!
There are a few reasons I love this cable so much...Before you read any further, I apologize for getting so excited and enthusiastic over a phone cable. I agree, it seems silly. After buying, and throwing away, so many cheap cables over the years - I have a reason to be excited!
1) Anyone that tells you size doesn't matter, is just crazy! If you have ever had to sit awkward on a chair or couch, while leaning towards the outlet to use your phone - you will appreciate the length of this cable. My bed has an outlet centered right behind it. I have a dual-port charger (Anker) plugged in, with two of these cables coming out to both sides of the bed.The cable is long enough to go from the wall, under the mattress, and up on the nightstand - with plenty of slack to use the phone while lying in bed, without being in a weird angle!
2) The overall feel and construction of the cable is perfect. The cable is stiff enough, but not too stiff. The connectors feel solid and look great.
3) The third reason, is by far the biggest reason that I love these cables. All other cables I have owned have had rubber around the connectors and have been rubber cable. This one is braided nylon and has a solid/hard plastic connector. There is a small amount of rubber on the transition-type piece from the cable to the hard plastic, but not much The only reason this matters to me, is that my CAT has NO INTEREST in it! Every prior cable has been completely ruined or had several tooth marks all over. No matter how much I try to hide them, he always seems to get a hold of them! This is the only cable he has shown NO INTEREST in at all!
If you find yourself with a cat that loves to chew phone cables, I urge you to try this out. If you find yourself getting as excited about phone cables as I am, I urge you to seek help.
I have been using Anker products since 2011, when I bought replacement batteries for my HTC Sensation. At the time, I had never heard of the company and purchased it from their eBay store - back when they used the name laptopmate_usa. Since that time, I have bought numerous other products, and they are the only company that I highly recommend to everyone I know.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 5, 2018So Anker contacted me and sent replacements for the defective cables I purchased and they have worked quite well with no hiccups, they were of course a different model of higher build quality, but i believe this model as well will hold up. I waited to update my comment to ensure that the replacements they sent me worked. So with this type of customer support from Anker it was good experience I understand manufacturing errors happen. I'll leave my previous comment below this one for anyone who is experiencing a similar problem as mine.
"My family and I are fans of Anker products, but these cables are designed quite nicely to be resilient as possible, but the metal micro-USB end is made with the cheapest metal and poorest build quality, I ordered two of these the first one after 2 days the metal thinned or compressed making it fall out of my phone charge port even though it was fitting perfectly fine, then today the other one simply bent on the same end and I guess dislocated the metal end from the cable wiring preventing contact and not allowing a charge. I take care of my products and these cables are terrible products, I've never had issues with other Anker products I used several wall adapters and a couple of portable chargers no issues. And the worst part I can't return the cables for a refund or replacements I thought maybe I got unlucky and received two defective cables, but because of the inability to return the cables I'm lead to believe that this product line is meant to be purchased and not be usable for more than a couple days.
Unless there is a return policy I don't believe this product should be purchased by anyone."

5.0 out of 5 stars Initial complications with purchase, but product should suit the average user's needs
UPDATED REVIEW
So after writing this review, I received an email from Anker offering to provide me with a replacement cable. They claimed that the problem with my cable was likely a manufacturing defect of some sort. The cable that I received as a replacement has been working perfectly fine, and the connection is very secure (despite me accidentally running over the cable with my office chair a bunch lol). I should note that the replacement cable is a different model called the Anker Powerline+. That cable seems to charge at about the same rate and is slightly better in construction.
At any rate, given that the product initially worked as well as a $9 cable can be reasonably expected to, I've revised the review score from my initial 2/5 rating. I am making the assumption that the looseness of the connection was indeed anomaly as the Anker representative claimed.
I've left the original review's text below, along with the attached picture of the defect, for reference.
(Also I referred to the charging speed as acceptable but "really good" is probably more accurate.)

This item worked fine, initially. The cord is well constructed, and it charges at an acceptable rate. However, after not too long, the micro-USB connection started bending. I don't hold my phone by the connection or cable or anything, so I'd have to assume that this connection is simply poorly soldered or something. Point is: This cable still charges my phone, but it now falls out extremely easy. Which is a major pain. I don't recommend this product for that reason.

5.0 out of 5 stars The best microUSB cable in the market, but it's expensive
The Anker 6 feet Nylon braided tangle-free microUSB cable is very expensive, but it is the best cable in the market. It is long enough, so it is very helpful for instances when the electrical point is away from your bed. As it is braided, it won't acquire bends or flexes even after months of usage. The quality of the connectors is great as well.

Very good quality product. Worth for the money. Thanks to Amazon

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Charging Cable
An all around excellent cable. I was initially worried it would charge slowly - the way cables work is that the longer they are, the higher their resistance (if I remember my electrical systems right) and the slower they will charge your device. However, this cable must be a pretty thick gauge as it manages to charge my phone even faster than my old, much shorter cable.
This cable is very sturdy from my experiences so far. It has a satisfyingly thick braid, and where the cable meets the connectors doesn't seem like it will strip or tear. The gold plating on the connectors is just for marketing - it's not actually going to increase the performance of your cable, but it looks nice if that's your thing. The connectors fit very snug in their ports, which is a good thing. Over time, connectors fit more loosely due to repeated plugging in and out, which can screw with charging. So far these connectors are holding up quite nicely.
This is a great, long cable for whatever you need it for. It's a bit expensive compared to the alternatives but it's not going to break your bank.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome quality
Best quality wire and after using it for couple of months I don't see any problem with it. It just work fine. I suggest this wire to everyone, who are looking for good quality wire.
