    I bought this Sonos Beam and replaced an Yamaha ATS-1080 with it. It’s a legitimate upgrade that offers superior sound quality. One of the issues I had with my Yamaha was hearing dialogue when other things were on like an AC unit Dishwasher etc. And I couldn’t get it loud enough without disrupting my neighbors on the other side of the wall. When you increase the sound for dialogue, you increase everything like Bass etc. The dialogue frequency is far greater on this Beam and I can get it the right level without it being disruptive.I’ve read comments about less than impressive bass sound. One of the huge selling points on Yamaha ATS 1080 is the subwoofers inside of them that give it its bass sound. The Bass on this unit is just as powerful if not better. I think it’s better. So don’t let those comments dissuade you.I bought this with the Sub Mini and Sonos ones. I watched Maverick and Titanic and sound between the three are amazing. And more than enough sound for a one or two bedroom living unit.I went with Sonos because I really look at Sonos and Bose as the top two and everyone else below. I bought my Dad a Bose because it came with a remote and he doesn’t like using his smartphone. With Sonos it doesn’t come with remote, everything is done on the phone. So got him Bose, purchased my first Sonos unit and am enjoying it. The only other negative about this unit is you can turn it off. It remains on all the time. The constant power and smart phone use didn’t bother me

    I normally don’t write reviews unless the product goes way beyond expectations. This is one truly amazing sound bar. Easy to set up and crisp sound. The sound is a bit mind blowing in the fact it produces sounds that appear to be coming from different parts of the room. Movies such as Dune sound so good it’s like watching a different movie. Games such as Halo are mesmerizing but you have to do a little setup with your Xbox…no fault of Sonos. I do not recommend the bar if you are limited to only an optical cable. To get the full benefits of the bar I strongly recommend a TV with ARC / eARC. Great for smaller rooms and 55 inch and under TV. Bottom line this sound bar sounds better than many home theater systems.

    It's a wonderful product by itself, paired with a sub-mini is absolute perfection. It's a marvel of technology hands down. The Sonos app voice actor is Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad Kingpin) it was the ah-ha moment and well it integrated within my computer network for amazing playability. I like the Sonos Ai because it stores things locally unlike other services.

    Well done Sonos! Add some rears and you have a top tier system.

Two, the soundbar consistently loses connection with the Sonos app. Since the app is needed to play music, this makes it difficult to listen to and control the music you want to listen to.     Overall I'm very happy with this sound bar.

    Pros:

    1. Easy set up
    2. Clear sound
    3. Balanced sound
    4. Easy to use with Spotify

    This sound bar sounds great, especially considering it's just one piece. Setting it up was really easy. The sound is clear, balanced, and accurate. It also has a surround sound feel to it. It was easy to use with Spotify.

    It doesn't come with a separate subwoofer, so it doesn't have window-rattling bass. But that's ok with me. I live in an apartment and I didn't want to be a jerk to my neighbors. The bass is still much more solid than anything you'd get from TV speakers.

    Cons:

    1. App has some room for improvement.

    I’d say the app is adequate, but personally I found the user experience to be a bit clunky. For example, the Speech Enhancement function is unlabeled and in a separate location from most of the other settings, which I thought was strange.

    When you use this product without satellite speakers on any kind of surround content, it attempts to do something to surround channels that put create a fast echo effect, like a reverb algorithm from a 90s video game. It's especially terrible with the sounds of water, background chatter, or audience applause and laughter. This issue is very common if you search around on forums, and sonos offers no solution to this day. I'm very unhappy after paying for a premium product that it sounds so distractingly bad. If I could get my TV to just output stereo I would. Don't buy this product unless they fix it, they've left it broken since an update around 2 years ago.

    Just got this bad boy today since it was on sale… I have been debating a decent soundbar for a little over 6 months, I did a ton of research but it’s been hard to bite the bullet…. Yeah, just bite it! I love this thing, and am honestly really surprised how good the sound is, it’s a lot better than our Samsung one. I want to get some speakers for some good surround sound. All in all the speaker by itself really puts out, and I think now I’m going to have to buy one for our bedroom and guest bedrooms.

    I would call myself a picky customer about audio products, and this sound bar meets all my expectations!

    Sound Quality: I've never heard better bass in any other soundbars. I would say it's even more solid and powerful than those with subwoofers. The performance with gaming and movies is just perfect! Other frequencies are also beautiful.

    Sound stage: please note that this soundbar is only 65cm wide, but the left/right channel contents are separated very clearly. In most cases, it requires a 1.5m+ soundbar or two speakers placed wide enough to have clear left/right content, otherwise the left/right sound might be mixed. Another fancy thing is that there is a wall to the left side of my soundbar, but I think Sonos uses some magic to tweak the speaker to adjust according to your home surroundings. I feel the sound is perfectly balanced.

    Connections: I don't use Apple, and it does NOT support Bluetooth, but I only use it with S/PDIF with my PC, so it doesn't bother me.

    Overall it's the best soundbar I've heard so far.

    La Sonos Beam de segunda generación es un producto de muy buena calidad, tiene la capacidad añadida de simular Dolby Atmos (especialmente aprovechada con películas compatibles y con Xbox).
    Los materiales de construcción, como es de esperar de la marca, son de excelente calidad, además de que su configuración es sumamente fácil de realizar. Para poder aprovechar al máximo sus cualidades, es necesario que tu televisor tenga eARC, de lo contrario, con ARC no podrás aprovechar todo (pero es suficiente en algunas ocasiones).

    En cuanto al sonido, dependerá completamente de tu entorno. Por ejemplo, si estás en una recámara pequeña y utilizas el TruePlay (tristemente solo se puede hacer con dispositivos iOS) seguramente será suficiente para llenar tu cuarto con el sonido de las películas o videojuegos; peeeeeeero, si estás en una sala o una recámara más grande, es probable que sientas que hace falta un poco de fuerza en las frecuencias graves, por lo que sí vería necesario comprarse el Subwoofer.

    En cuanto a la calidad de sonido en general es buena: diálogos bastante bien logrados, efecto de altura lo suficientemente bueno para ser una simulación y no tener parlantes apuntando hacia arriba y rebote el sonido. Cuando escuchas música se siente muy bien.

    ¿Qué aconsejaría yo, personalmente?
    1.- Si estás en una recámara pequeña, llenará totalmente tu cuarto y podrás disfrutar muchísimo de tus películas y videojuegos, sin lugar a dudas y probablemente sin necesidad de añadir un subwoofer (quizá, si existiera uno más pequeño, sería un gran añadido).
    2.- Si quieres tener Alexa, y aparte tener una gran barra de sonido por un precio no tan exagerado (como su hermana mayor, la Sonos Arc).
    3.- Si es de tus primeros o tu primer producto de Sonos y piensas ampliarlo con el tiempo.
    - Aquí hago paréntesis: a mi consideración (y remarco, es solo una opinión), valdría muchísimo la pena comprar la Sonos Beam más dos Sonos One SL para tener un efecto surround y sigue siendo más barato que la Sonos Arc y tendrás un sistema completamente envolvente y ahorras un poco más.
    - Segundo paréntesis: después de hacer ese sistema, agrégale el subwoofer y es de las mejores opciones que puedas conseguir en el mercado.

    En fin, ¿la recomiendo?
    Sí, definitivamente.

    ¿Me compro esta barra más dos Sonos One en lugar de la Sonos Arc?
    Sí.

    ¿Necesito subwoofer?
    Hay un dicho que dice que sí, que siempre será mejor tener un subwoofer a no tenerlo, pero con calma, esfuerzo y ahorro se puede lograr un gran sistema de sonido.

    Excellent sound. It has far more value than its size. No issues at all. Amazing controls in app. Works flawlessly with app and tv remote set up was so easy. Love it - sound quality remains great at at its peak value. After all “SONOS” is “SONOS” - no question. Most of all Packaging, it’s cloth cover, and early delivery loved it.

    Pese a ser compacta, te puede crear un gran ambiente sin necesidad de las traseras Sonos one (el espacio donde se encuentra es en un estudio de 5 m x 5 m).

    Tuve la gen 1, me gusto y por ese motivo me anime a la gen 2.

    De punto de comparación, tengo ahorita en la sala principal, bose 700, con subwofer y surround speakers. Te puedo decir esta barra (Sonos Beam gen 2), no te da la potencia y sensación de rango completo , pero con el dolby atmos puedes llenar un espacio pequeño y ser suficiente para disfrutar una serie o película ocasional, inclusive jugar videojuegos.

    Ojo: audiofilos, NO ESPEREN UNA EXPERIENCIA INNOVADORA , es un producto de entretenimiento premium, con excelentes acabados, agradable al tacto, simulación de sonido y a un precio relativamente asequible, pero nunca se comprará a tener un sistema dedicado con cerebro y ampliador análogo.

    Próximamente compraré los dos Sonos one y subwofer para poder dar una opinión completa (escribo esto en abril de 2022).
