3. Power off light and power it back on

4. If it is still not working, please factory reset your bulb

How do I reset the light bulb?

Use a light switch to turn on and off the bulb 5 times. During the 6th power on cycle , it will flash 5 times, then flash twice softly, indicating you have successfully factory reset your light bulb, and it is ready for setup again.

What should I do if I lose the setup Barcode or Barcode scan setup fails?

You can set up you device via 2 alternative setup methods that can be found in the User Manual attached in this page down in the Product guides and documents section.

What should I do if my light bulbs appears offline or unresponsive?

1. Please make sure the light switch is powered On

2. Power off light and power it back on, wait for 1 minute and check the status

3. If all else fails, please try to reset your bulb

What should I do if I see error code (-1:-1:-1:-1) during my Alexa setup?

1. Make sure your phone has Bluetooth turned on throughout the entire setup process and the device you are trying to setup is in pairing mode.

2. Restart your device by powering it off and on, and then set up again.

I looked at several different brands of smart bulbs before chosing these. I am so happy I went with the Amazon brand. I had the bar codes all lines up ready to scan. But as soon as I turned the power on they all flashed twice and my Echo show 15 announced that they were recognized and ready to use. Took about 10 seconds to group them all together in the app and they are fully functional. Couldn't be happier!!!I also added one to my hallway and will be ordering more for the bedroom.

We have it installed in our hallway, it is a great light to be used as night light. Since it has dimming feature. It is very easy to install and works great with Alexa dot. Just say Alexa change my hallway light to purple color. Since it has multi colors. No issues in connectivity. You can also set routines to turn off or on using Alexa.

Amazon Basics Smart A19 LED Light Bulb, red, green, blue, white. color changing, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, 7.5 W 60W. These smart bulbs were recommended to me by my Husband. He said it quickly paired and connected to our existing Alexa account. We have echo dots and the Alexa app on our phones and Ipads. With this bulb setup was so easy and we did not have to worry about passcodes for internet/wifi etc and rapid blinking light etc. It’s like they figured out all the problems of setting up smart bulbs and made is a seamless process. Again we already have Alexa setup in our home. If you have and Echo dot or other Echo voice device you can operate a light with voice commands or you can use your device with Alexa app. I can be in bed and say “Alexa turn off bedroom light”. There’s many great color choices and dimming functions. These are the only smart bulbs I will buy now.

Performs as expected. Its tunable white light is great when you want to change the effects based on the type of white you need. The 7.5 W (equivalent to a 60 W bulb) is more than you'll need for most applications. I have purchased these bulbs in the past (which were standard bulbs) and have never had on burn out. In fact, I have one bulb that stays on 24/7 for better than a year now and it's still going strong. I see no reason for these bulbs not to be just as durable as the older style.

Amazon Basics - Smart A19 LED Light Bulb, 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, 7.5W (Equivalent to 60W) 800LM

Decided to try one on Black Friday sale. I have about a dozen Amz smart plugs and was counting on this to be as easy to set up as the plugs, not requiring a separate app (I hate that). It did not disappoint. I put the bulb in a lamp, it blinked twice and turned on. I got my phone, made sure location and bluetooth were turned on, started Alexa app. I don't recall if I had to hit the plus sign to add a device or if it automatically displayed a message saying it had found "First Light", but in either case I did not have to scan the barcode, contrary to what the instructions said.

I played around with it for a while changing brightness and color using the app and by voice. It is not super bright but it is only claiming to be comparable to a 60W bulb and it is. Of course this varies by color. IIRC Soft White was the brightest by far. The colors are very nice and I was pleased that I could change colors by voice. A mode that cycles though all the RGB values would be nice but hey, they named it "Basics".

Finally I renamed it and moved it to an overhead light socket that is on a wall switch. It did not lose its settings during that move or when I turned the switch off for a while. I plan to leave the switch on most of the time but I am sure it will get turned off by habit so we will see how it goes. So far, so good.

It's not very far from my wifi router, probably 15 feet straight line through one wall and one floor. My other Amz smart plugs and Echo Dots G3 have proven very resilient at recovering their connections after interruptions. Only a handful of time I have had to dig behind furniture to get one back online.

I wish they had a 100W equivalent version. I'm dinging it one star unfairly on Brightness just to encourage them to make a 100W version.
